30 Songs in 30 Days
Hello potential donors!
We're at the end of January, and the end of the Dare. How did it go? Well, if we subtract the four days I spent with Great Big Sea earlier this month, I wrote and recorded 23 songs in 26 days. Not bad.
It turned out to be one of the most creatively exhilarating months of my life - incredibly educational and rewarding, and exactly the kind of dare I was looking for. And as you can see, we (i.e. you) surpassed our donation target - in fact we blew past the original target of $2000 and have now surpassed the new target of $4000. Thank you so much for that.
After a month of not doing laundry or buying grocieries, I'm going to take a break from the songwriting. I need to buy grocieries, but moreso I need to recharge creatively. My brain is empty. But if you're coming to this page for the first time, please donate! In addition to helping the situation in Africa (the real reason for donating) you'll still get 21 songs if you donate $60 or more. For those donating $100 or more, I will write and record the last nine at some point and get them to you. I just can't say exactly when.

I’m starting the New Year off by taking on a dare for the Stephen Lewis Foundation. My dare? I’m gonna push the very limits of musical sanity and write and record a song a day for the month of January. Crazy, I know – but crazy for a good cause.
The songs are exclusive to the Dare Campaign, so you have to donate to hear them.

Here’s how it works:
At the end of every week, I will email the songs to everyone who has purchased them that week. If you donate enough to get all 30 songs, they will be sent to you at the end of the month (or shortly thereafter).
Here’s the donation scale:
$5 gets you one song
$10 gets you three songs
$20 gets you all the songs that week (7)
$100 will get you all 30 songs at the end of the month
